Quote of The Day

“Most men.... can seldom accept the simplest and most obvious truth if it be such as would oblige them to admit the falsity of conclusions which they have proudly taught to others, and which they have woven, thread by thread, into the fabrics of their lives.”

Here's a picture for Breda's "Post a pic of yourself as a child" meme.

And since I found a funny / embarrassing one....

Sweet!

As of today I'm now full-time here at the law firm and have been bumped up a position. I don't know what kind of pay raise that means quite yet, but it does mean more hours and benefits, including health insurance. It'll be nice not to have to pay out of pocket for health insurance anymore.

I guess this explains why they hired a new law clerk yesterday.

Bailout Bill

So it seems that Pelosi and the Democrats are trying to blame the Republican's for failure of the bailout bill. What a load of horse shit. The vote was 141-94 in support of the bill among Democrats and 66-132 opposing it among Republicans. Had Pelosi been able to show some leadership and get her fellow Democrats behind the bill she could have gotten this passed without the Republicans.

The bailout failed, and that failure is solely on the shoulders of Pelosi and her fellow Democrats. For the record, I'm glad the bailout failed. I think it sets a terrible precedent for the future of this country and I have my doubts about whether it will work. Not to mention anything that Pelosi and Barney Frank are pushing is most likely something I really don't want passed.

EDIT -

Y'know, everyone is talking about how bad the housing market is, yet within the past year my older brother and sister were both able to sell their homes, move into newer, bigger places AND make a profit.

Blogroll Additions

Please welcome Cowboy Blob (who's also a member over on Supraforums) and Hecate's Crossroads to the blogroll.

Oh and Jeff over at XLRQ whom I keep forgetting to add. I pretty much run a reciprocal blogroll around here, so if I've missed you just drop me a line.

Ah Mondays

I'm really not in the mood to be at work today, and I'm drawing a blank as far as good stuff to post here at Another Gun Blog. I'm sure I'll think of something eventually.

But hey, at least Monday means MNF, Terminator, and Dancing With The Stars. How could you not watch with Brooke Burke on the show?

In gun news, CCR now has a new nickel-like finish called CERA-PLATE which looks flat out awesome. I've had two slides done by Brad @ CCR, one in black and one in stainless and have been extremely happy with the finish. The P228 will likely be headed to Brad for Cera-Plate on all of the non-aluminum surfaces and black Cera-Hide on the frame.

What is it About Anti-Gunners?

It seems that the most fervent anti-gun folks often have little respect for the rest of the Constitution. In fact I'd go so far as to say it's a common theme. Barack Obama has shown himself to be a part of that crowd. Remember Chris Matthews?

Bitter has the Obama letter threatening to revoke the broadcast licenses of any news stations that air the NRA's anti-Obama ads. Instapundit has plenty more on this issue, and here's info from the NRA.

Quite frankly, I find Obama's recent actions aimed at silencing political speech that's critical of him to be scary as hell. "Truth Squads" comprised of local law enforcement and prosecutors? You've got to be fucking kidding me? That's the kind of thuggery I expect from a staunch commie or fascist. Could you imagine the media outrage if McCain's campaign were engaging in these tactics? I haven't heard a peep about this on MSNBC, CNN, and the rest of the liberal media. Why aren't they bashing Obama and defending free speech? Speaking of that, where's the ACLU on this?

Now we have the DNC getting in on the act in defense of Obama. Funny, because Democrats are usually big fans of free speech. I guess they're willing to abandon their principles in order to get "The One" elected President.

This man is threatening legal action against news agencies who air the NRA's anti-Obama ad. The NRA's ad is true, which has been proven beyond a doubt. That said, this is uncalled for Chicago-style politics whether the ad were true or not. If the claims are untrue then Obama should be suing for libel, if not then he needs to shut the hell up, be a man, and respect free speech rights of those who disagree with him politically. I guess this is what Obama had in mind when he spoke of a "new kind of politics?"

If there was one type of free speech most cherished by our founding fathers it was political dissent.

In 1804 Thomas Jefferson wrote,

"....man may be governed by reason and truth. Our first object should therefore be, to leave open to him all the avenues to truth. The most effectual hitherto found, is the freedom of the press. It is, therefore, the first shut up by those who fear the investigation of their actions."

Why is Obama attempting to silence free speech and the running of the NRA's ad? Simple, he fears the investigation of his actions and he fears the truth. I fear those who stand against dissemination of the truth. Obama should be getting hammered by the media for his outright contempt for the 1st Amendment, but I won't hold my breath.

Oh, and here's the NRA ad Obama is having a big hissy fit over.

Revoking Permits

Dave Hardy has a story about a Pennsylvania soccer mom who's CCW permit was revoked by the local sheriff because she was open carrying at soccer games and making folks "uncomfortable."

Absolutely stunning logic there huh? Some pants shitter complains about open carry, so they revoke her concealed carry permit, thereby requiring that she open carry from now on.

She should continue to open carry at the soccer games. If the league complains she should hand them copies of the letter she received from the sheriff and explain to them that she now must carry openly because of the revocation.

Also, can the league really "ban" her? Around here the soccer fields aren't private property, even if they are being used by a particular soccer league. I believe the ones near me are public property under the jurisdiction of New Castle County Parks & Recreation. They're certainly not owned or operated by any soccer league, and the league can't ban someone from a public park.

Is there specific criteria that must be shown to revoke a permit in PA or can they really just claim the CCW holder showed a "lack of judgment?" It seems to me she should be able to get her permit reinstated if she takes the Sheriff to court, but I'm not sure how PA law works in that regard. Hell, the Sheriff even made statements saying that her OC'ing was lawful and that he was revoking her permit to "prove a point." I seriously hope she takes this to court and tears him a new one.

Update - Half way down this page on PAFOA is the letter she received revoking her PA LTCF. There's also more info in this article.

Two Shit Sandwiches

By that I mean Obama & McCain, The Republicans and the Democrats. We all know that Bush was anything but a fiscally conservative Republican. With the current market bailouts we may as well just stick a fork in the "fiscal conservative" branch of the Republican Party.

I wholeheartedly expect the Democrats to jump all over this massive bailout plan, but when all the so-called "conservatives" support it as well you know that both sides are offering voters a nice turd sandwich, the only difference being the size of the turd.

Hell, both McCain & Obama want to bailout GM as well. They've been making shitty cars and failing to compete for the last 20+ years if not longer. They lose money on every car they make, meanwhile Toyota makes money, despite also building cars here in the U.S. with U.S. workers. It's not like GM had some catastrophic slip-up, they've been grossly incompetent for years. We've been propping them up with subsidies, and now they want $25 Billion!? We shouldn't be bailing out anyone, but this is an election year, so both candidates have to support this crap.

Update - Looks like our 1st State Moonbats are foaming at the mouth and seething with hatred towards the "evil republicans." Not only that, but they see this as evidence of the failure of free-market capitalism. Typical blind hatred has come out in full force. They're also advocating that all Republicans be lined up and shot! Oh Boy! Once again, why are anti-gunners so violent?

Sowell on Obama

Thomas Sowell has a great piece on Obama in Jewish Worldview. It's nice to see him make the Obama >>> 1930's Germany connection, since when I make it I'm branded a "racist."

Sowell has the following to say about Iran,

"This is a country whose president has already threatened to wipe a neighboring country off the map. Does anyone need to draw pictures?"

As usual Sowell gets it right. Obama wants to engage in more diplomacy and negotiations with Iran. To what end exactly? Sanctions will just hurt the Iranian people, who are actually like America. We (We being the U.S., UN, and Israel) don't want them to have nukes. They want nukes. Where exactly is the "middle ground" there in which Obama believes he can use negotiation and diplomacy? Also, where is Israel in all of this? Imagine if you will that Mexico had consistently been voicing a desire to wipe the U.S. off the map and a desire to develop nuclear capabilities for what it claimed was "peaceful use." We'd have to be supremely naive to say to them "Oh, go right ahead, since you only want to develop nuclear power not weapons."

Iran wants to wipe out Israel, our ally. If they want to develop nuclear capabilities more rhetoric isn't going to stop them. Bringing in the UN to talk some more isn't going to stop them. As Sowell notes, what does Obama have besides talk and adoring fans? Iran knows this, that's why they're so happy about the prospects of him becoming our next President.

The DIJA In The Past Eight Years

On January 20, 2001, the day President Bush took office, the DJIA closed at 10,587. As of right now it's at 10,710.

Liberals would have you believe that Bush and the evil Republicans have ruined the American economy. Why then is the Dow at the same level it was when the wonderful Bill Clinton left office? If you plug in Jan, 20, 2001 and today's date and look at the closing numbers what do you see? A cyclical market. I'm sure you all remember the bubble we had in the mid 1990's under Clinton. The market went back up afterwards. The market fell after 9/11, but it went back up, eventually reaching highs that weren't seen even during the Clinton Administration. The market will rebound from the losses we're seeing right now. Personally, I'm still putting money in the stock market each month and I'll continue to do so.

Coming Clean

My dad now knows that I own guns. Actually I should say he knows I own *a* gun, since I made sure to use the singular term. My mom has known for quite some time that I own guns and go shooting at the range and she has no problem with it. My dad is not so reasonable or rational. I think he took it well. At the least he took it as well as one could expect an anti-gunner to take it. A few years ago when I wanted to buy a P22 he absolutely flipped his lid when the issue came up, so compared to that this went extraordinarily well.

He did express what sounded like at least passing interest in going to the range with me. To be honest the thought of my dad + guns worries me a bit, but I don't think you can ever really know till you get someone on the firing line with gun in hand.

Crime at U of D

I'm looking at the front page of The Review, the student newspaper at the University of Delaware. What do I see?

Well today's poll question is "Do you think the University is doing enough to make the campus feel safer?"

Well the campus is a gun / weapon free zone. I've discussed UD's weapons policy before, which basically makes anything a weapon, including the benchmade I carried anyway while I was a student. UD's policies are all feel-good bullshit, which is typical of academia.

Also on the front page are these two articles discussing recent violent crime in Newark. This isn't a new problem. There were muggings, assaults, armed robberies & burglaries during my time at Delaware, though it seems they've been happening with more frequency in recent years.

Here's one discussing muggings on campus. Apparently criminals target college students! WOW, what a shocking revelation. In the article they talk to a junior who says she's feels "left in the dark" about crime on campus. Oh come on, crime stats are easily available online and if you needed the University to tell you there's violent crime on campus you're hopelessly naive.

Patel is quoted in the article as saying,

"I think now is the time to make a public statement and give students a sense of security before a student gets mugged and ends up being killed, and then they decide to make bigger moves."

Wonderful. Let's have President Harker issue a statement about the recent crime and offer some empty platitudes so students "feel safe." I have news for Patel. Words that give a "sense of security" won't keep one person from being mugged or killed. There's going to be crime in Newark and students need to be aware of their surroundings. Also, UD Public Safety can't do much about this. Public Safety is mostly comprised of UD students in official looking uniforms and they're unarmed. At least the University gained a little common sense in the last year and allowed University Police to carry sidearms.

Another article says campus crime isn't "normal." I'm not sure what this student thinks the University should to do combat the crime. U of D is a fairly sprawling campus intertwined with the city of Newark. Every fall and spring there's a huge influx of college kids who are perfect targets for criminals. Population density alone should tell you there's going to be an uptick in crime. Also, It's not uncommon for career criminals from Wilmington to come to Newark to commit crimes. The University can increase UDPD foot patrols but Newark and the campus are far too expansive for any number of police to keep students safe.

Look. If you live off-campus keep your doors and windows locked at all times, try to be aware of your surroundings and don't walk alone. As I've discussed in previous entries, I believe you should carry a weapon with you so long as it's legal under state law. The University might discipline you for using a knife or carabiner in self-defense, or even for using good fox-labs pepper spray. Still, it's better to have it just in case. This is particularly true in Newark, where it's unlikely police will get to you in time to help, even if you're at one of those awesome "blue light phones" the University has set up.

The editorial even complains about South College Ave. and Cleveland Ave., apparently perturbed at lack of police presence in those areas. Maybe I'm just crazy, but I recently graduated, and South College & Cleveland Ave. were probably the two places where there actually WAS police presence. (along with North College)

She does get one thing right with this statement,

"Students who live off campus are left to their own defenses on streets that are becoming more dangerous."

There are a few things the University and Newark PD can do to combat crime on campus. Mainly, they can increase police foot patrols and public safety escort services (which most students don't take advantage of anyway) Beyond that, students are on their own. That's just reality, and the sooner students understand that rather than pushing for the University to "do something" the better off they'll be.

Quote of the Day

“Jack’s proposals are about our families, about our children and about our future..... You can’t have stronger families without safer children, and the protections Jack will support as governor will keep guns out of the hands of criminals and out of the hands of children. These are common-sense steps Delaware must take to ensure that firearms do not land in the wrong hands.”

-Brady Campaign Founder Sarah Brady

Looks like she's ecstatic about potentially having a gun-grabbing governor. Just look at how buddy buddy she and Jack Markell are already.

(Sadly my comment on Markell's blog had some glaring grammatical errors. I've got to remember to proofread before I hit submit.)

UCR Data Is Out

Thirdpower informs us that the 2007 FBI Uniform Crime Report is out. Good, that'll help me supplement the Markell post I discussed in the post just below this.

I love these things, because they're invaluable for proving anti's wrong. Well that and they get incredibly pissed off when you cite actual facts to back up what you're saying.

Here's a quick fact that pertains to Delaware.

1. There were more strong arm robberies in the First State (745) than robbery with a firearm (691) - See table here.

Looks like what we really need is to lock up the criminals, whether they use guns or hands and fists.

Blehness

I really should write up a post on Jack Markell, who won Delaware's Democratic Primary for Governor and will probably be our next governor, I just haven't been in the mood to bang out a good, detailed post. I hope I'm wrong about Markell's chances, but Republican Bill Lee didn't really want to run and was MIA for most of his primary. I'd be shocked if he beat Markell in the general election.

Anyway, expect to see a detailed post about Markell's positions as noted in his press release. in the next few days. I've been wanting to write about this for a while and have been putting it off. It's full of typical liberal gun control proposals with a 4th Amendment workaround thrown in for good measure. Funny how anti-gun Democrats lose all respect for the 4th Amendment the moment the word "guns" is mentioned.

I can't say I'm surprised at Markell's regurgitation of failed policies, given that he's been riding Obama's "change" coattails his entire campaign. His slogan was "change" and he even has a nifty little blueprint book just like Obama. How cute.

Quote of The Day

"First, you’re assuming gun control has been tried. It really hasn’t"

- JadeGold - Commenting @ Delaware Liberal.

Even when I know it's JadeGold we're dealing with he still manages to say something so shockingly stupid that I'm actually surprised. It's a good example of why "compromise" is an exercise of failure with the anti-gunners. Nothing is an "infringement" and if you keep up the compromise you'll be left with no chips.

Edit - Apparently there's an entire blog exposing the poster known as "JadeGold." That's funny.

9/11

So many seem to forget the tragedy that occurred on this day 7 years ago, and even more decided to politicize the anniversary. That's why when I left to go to work this morning I was pleasantly surprised. One of our neighbors had flown a flag at the entrance to the neighborhood. When I returned home that flag was accompanied by 4 small ones stuck in the dirt and another folded neatly and placed at the entrance.

Never forget, and remember that there will always be those who hate freedom. If we are to triumph over those people we must never forget. We must never forget what freedom means and. what sacrifice means. Most importantly, we must never forget to embrace freedom with hearts that promise eternal vigilance in its defense. If freedom dies within us, it dies forever.

Let us never forget the emotions we felt on that day, nor the deep loss and suffering that the families of those lost will never be rid of. I remember where I was on this day 7 years ago, and the emotions that I felt. I will never forget.

(I was in Mr. Lombardozzi's junior U.S. History class)

Quote of The Day

"Imagine how difficult it will be for law enforcement to safeguard the public if semiautomatic guns are allowed"

- D.C. Police Chief Lanier

Yeah, you've been doing a bang up job of protecting D.C. citizens for the last 30+ years. It's not like crime could really get WORSE in the district, yet those in power are still acting like there'll be some doomsday scenario if gun laws are eased.

Of course as Sebastian notes, nearly all of Lanier's concerns are moot, since HR6691 doesn't say anything about allowing carry outside the home in D.C. It's typical fearmongering by petty tyrants who realize they're ever so slightly losing their grip on power. All 6691 does is forces the District to abide by Heller, since they're too damn arrogant to listen to the SCOTUS.

Lanier also makes the incorrect claim that HR6691 would allow citizens to carry loaded semi-auto rifles in the District. She's wrong, it doesn't, but let's assume they were allowed. What would happen? It's perfectly legal in Delaware for me to sling my AR-15 over my shoulder and go for a walk. Despite its legality Delaware hasn't seen a spate of killings as a result of this "loophole," nor have we had problems because we allow OC without a license.

The Height of Elitism

Obama exhibits the typical elitism I've come to expect from him, as he is apparently pleased with the fact that his daughters are protected by men with guns.

His statement is as follows, Via SaysUncle

"Hold on a sec. Maybe that home-schooling is all right. One reason I have to win here is so that I've got Secret Service around my girls at all times. They carry guns."

So Obama believes guns are appropriate and effective protection for himself and his family, but that millions of other American families should be denied access to the same protection? That attitude exemplifies everything I find most contemptible about this man. He and his family are worthy of protection, but he's more than happy to give the rest of us the finger.

Remember, in a February 20, 2004 article in the Chicago Tribune Obama was quoted as saying,

"National legislation will prevent other states' flawed concealed- weapons laws from threatening the safety of Illinois residents."

Obama again came out against CCW in April 2008, when he was quoted by the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. Obama stated,

"I am not in favor of concealed weapons," "I think that creates a potential atmosphere where more innocent people could (get shot during) altercations."

So we have Obama, on record, stating that he believes concealed carry to be not only unsafe, but a public safety threat that should be addressed by a Federal law banning the practice. (never mind all evidence proves him wrong) Why is it OK for his family to be protected by men with concealed weapons while he actively seeks to deny that right to others?

It should also be noted that Obama is being blatantly hypocritical on the 10th Amendment here. (surprise, surprise) He was quoted in the Chicago Sun Times in April 2008 saying,

"My view continues to be that the constitution, I believe, does provide a right to bear arms; but that local communities, and state governments, as well as the federal government, have a right to common-sense regulations"

Obama believes state and local governments have a right to decide their own gun laws. If that's the case then don't states have the authority to enact shall-issue CCW, or allow carry without a permit if those are the "common-sense regulations" they decide are best for their citizens?

Obama only supports the "right" of local communities to enact their own laws if that means enacting strict gun control. In Obama's mind those "rights"only apply if a state wishes to curtail the rights of its citizens but not if it means allowing Americans more freedom. Why else would he support a Federal ban on CCW if he really believed such things should be left up to "local communities?" Why would he support re-instating the Clinton Federal Assault Weapons Ban? Those federal bans would supercede the policies of local communities. Only a lying hypocrite would say local communities have a choice in the matter while pushing for federal restrictions that would be binding against local communities, effectively denying them choice with regards to gun laws.

Oh, and someone should really tell Obama that citizens have rights while states and governments have powers. I can't help but question Barack's abilities as a Constitutional Law professor given his apparent inability to understand such a basic distinction. Nor does Obama understand that Constitutional rights are inherent and inalienable, and that they exist independent of the Constitution. That's a concept any Con Law professor should understand.

Obama apparently believes the Constitution and Bill of Rights "create" rights rather than protects pre-existing rights against government intrusion. Obama specifically says that the 2nd Amendment "creates an individual rights" in his statements regarding protecting the rights of western sportsmen. I'm merely a youngin' with a lowly B.A. in Political Science and Public Law, yet even I understand that basic tenet of Constitutional Law. I could have sworn I read somewhere that individual rights were inherent & inalienable. Perhaps Obama just needs to enlighten me, or maybe if he and Michelle can "fix my soul" I'll have a spiritual awakening and see Constitutional Rights the way Obama does? I doubt it.

Carry In PA

I'm looking up PA carry laws and I'm pleasantly surprised. It appears there are very few "off-limits" places for CCW in PA, "No-Guns" signs aren't legally binding and I can carry in places that serve alcohol. Oh, and I can carry concealed in the car with my UT permit. It'd be nice if every state was so simple.

On the other hand, I'm going to Manayunk tomorrow and will be at the Red bull Soapbox Race where the event info under "what can you NOT bring?" states the following,

"Guests and their belongings are subject to search upon entry or re-entry. Please return for any
additions or amendments.

- Weapons or illegal substances of any kind"

Why am I not surprised?

Oh, and as of tomorrow I will be officially old.

Obama's Legislative Record

Mrs. Ahab has a good post up regarding Obama's legislative "experience" as a U.S. Senator. It's no wonder even Obama supporters are stumped when asked about his legislative experience in the U.S. Senate.

If you look at bills he has sponsored that have actually been passed into law what do you find? You find he's accomplished nothing! I'm only concerned with bills he has sponsored himself, not co-sponsored bills. Why? Well experience as President is a question of leadership, and sticking your name on something that someone else introduced is hardly what I'd consider leadership.

Here's bills Obama sponsored in 07-08
Thomas Library of Congress

Of 70 bills I see 3 that have passed. Oh boy, look at all that substantive "change" that Obama's brought about this year in the Senate. He's a real heavyweight. Commemorations, congratulations, designations, and celebrations sure sound like real change to me.

Here are the bill #'s of legislation he's sponsored that was actually passed.

In 07'-08'

S.RES.133
S.RES.268
S.RES.600

Here's 05' - 06'

S.RES.291
S.RES.516
S.RES.529

You might notice she links to a Wikipedia page. I can't embed links to Thomas library of Congress in posts because the searches and what not are temporary. The links won't work if I post them, or at least they haven't when I attempted to do so. Even if you look at a list of bills he's co-sponsored that have passed you see pretty much no substance. It's all commemorations, designating holidays, patting other Senators on the back etc. etc.

I find the best way to look through these is to bring up the list of sponsored / Co-sponsored bills and do a search for the word "passed." It'll really piss you off because you see just how much time is spent on bills that are all fluff and don't do a damn thing with regards to any substantive policy issues. It makes you realize why executive experience as a governor is so much more germane to the office of President than Senatorial experience is.

To be fair, John McCain hasn't done much of anything in the way of legislative achievements this year either. That's not exactly surprising considering both he and Obama have spend most of this year campaigning.

So I Was Watching Palin's Speech

And one of the talking heads on MSNBC said afterwards that her speech was good but it lacked substance. These same folks were gushing with adoration over every Obama speech and not once did I hear a liberal media pundit utter the words "lacked substance" in reference to an Obama speech. No, instead we got the "thrill going up my leg" comment.

I actually missed a decent portion of Palin's speech. I'll have a more in-depth discussion of it when I get the chance to watch it. What I saw was excellent. She pulled no punches and went after Obama. She also repeatedly brought up his "bitter clingers" comments.

Right now this might be the quote of the speech. Man, I'm liking this broad more and more.

"In politics, there are some candidates who use change to promote their careers. And then there are those, like John McCain, who use their careers to promote change."

The Angry Left

The Daily Kos is considered a serious, mainstream Democratic blog on the left side of the aisle, one that Rachel Lucas points out is supported by Obama. Yet what do we see from the left directed towards Palin and her family? Bigotry, Misogyny, Intolerance, Hatred and general classlessness. It mirrors much of what I encountered over on Delaware Liberal, only I dare say Democratic Underground and Daily Kos are worse. The seething hate, the flat out lies, misrepresentations, the eschewing of facts and of any sense of basic decency is astounding. Then, as we see on many hate filled liberal sites, the controversial / offending material magically vanishes from their webpage.

The hypocrisy of the left is undeniable. So often they do not practice the tolerance, compassion, unity and understanding that they preach. To them, Bill Clinton's infidelity and flat out lie to the American people about it is no big deal, nor is the fact that Clinton (a lawyer) committed perjury. When the Republican VP's 17 year old gets pregnant out of wedlock the left smells blood and cannot help but attack Sarah & Bristol Palin.

When Biden's daughter was arrested it was a "private matter." The same goes for Al Gore's son and his frequent problems with the law. Here we have something with Palin's daughter that should be a non-issue and the MSM and left blogs can't leave it alone, nor can they even begin to be respectful about it. Furthermore, they insist that Palin is a bad mother because she "put her son out there knowing what the media would do to her." Great, blame the mother for her child's pregnancy AND for the vile attacks from the left. Would they rather she have dropped out because her daughter was pregnant? Why? Biden didn't drop out of politics when his wife died in a car accident and his young sons were seriously injured. He did the right thing. He went on with his political life AND cared for his family. That's what a good father would do and what Palin should do.

As far as this whole pregnancy is concerned it really isn't a big deal. It's not exactly uncommon for young people to have kids out of wedlock. I have a nephew born out of just such a situation, and it would have been ridiculous to claim that such a situation would have hindered the ability of my parents to do their jobs. They were supportive, they raised kids with good values, and everyone turned out fine. I know plenty of people who have had kids when they were young and unprepared. I also know women who have had an abortion. That's their decision and I won't judge them on it either way. Palin has shown solidarity and continued to support her daughter as well as embrace the father into their family. I would expect nothing less from her.

I Can Haz CCW Permit?

More on this topic later.
