Karma

I can only hope the degenerate shitheads who keyed my car today get what's coming to them. Considering where I park I hope that means jail at some point in the future. It's certainly possible given the obvious drug dealing and what not that goes on.

There were some not so nice words in my hood, so maybe I inadvertently looked at someone wrong, saw something I wasn't supposed to, or somehow "disrespected" someone. I've heard "holy shit it's a white boy" more than once so maybe it's a matter of certain folks not wanting someone like me around those parts.

I just hope there's no deductible for a comprehensive claim. I wouldn't know. I've never had to file one.

Well that just straight-up sucks. Sorry to hear it, and if I recall my own history with insurance claims, unless you have somehow stumbled upon a no-deductible insurance plan, comprehensive claims do have a deductible. That said, I hope it is low enough to be manageable...

sorry to hear it man- that sucks A lot. I had the front drivers side panel of my car kicked in a while ago while bouncing, but its not bad enough to warrant repair, as my car has over 125k on it anyway.

too bad you couldn't have caught the little buggers in the act and gotten a police report out of it so they had to pay.

Funny thing is I parked a black modded civic on a college campus for 3 years and no one ever fucked with it.

I'm just glad it's only the hood, and that they didn't break the windows or slash my brand new tires.

It's really not the area you should be parking a "nice" car.

Honestly, I get in & out of there quickly, and interact with no one. I'd seriously rather not get shot/robbed etc. I think I mentioned there was a SWAT raid ~ 100 ft. from my parking space eariler this year, and I've had rather obvious drug dealers park next to me.

Sounds like it's time to move to a better neighborhood.

You don't live near Donviti, do you?

Dana - I don't live in that neighborhood, I just park there everyday and then walk a few blocks to Market Street for work.

don't know how i missed this, but what's with people deliberately damaging personal property? it makes no freaking sense to me.

This reminds me of a quote from Pulp Fiction...

It woulda been worth them keying the car for me to catch them doing it.

In a perfect world I could inflict righteous revenge on them without exposing myself to harm or using violence on them.

In reality of course catching & confronting them would have likely gotten me shot or mugged.

BTW - Nice to see you commenting here LG. One of the few DL contributors who's opinion I respect, even if I don't always agree with you.

As far as an update - My deductible is 1K so I didn't even bother making a claim. So for now I'm rolling around with a fucked up hood, which as Falnfenix knows, is something I'm used to.
