Dirtcrashr had some issues with a set of slim grips he bought for his Sig P220. I recently bought a set for my P220ST myself and they would not fit. It looks like they may be rubbing on the trigger bar spring and the issue becomes obviously apparent when you dryfire the gun. They also will not sit completely flush at the rear. I never even bothered inserting the magazine but it's entirely possible that would have presented a problem as well.
It's a shame because I LOVED the feel of the grips. They're slightly thinner and have far better checkering than the original Sig grips.
Had I bothered to check before ordering I would have seen this disclaimer
"These grips will not fit properly if you have the old style metal mainspring seat. Will fit P220's with the new style black plastic mainspring seat. "
If you want slim grips your only option is to go aftermarket or change out the mainspring housing for the newer plastic ones that Sig now uses. Hogue makes a nice set of slim grips for the P220, but they're $130 and I am not sure if they will fit P220's with either mainspring seat.

Took me 20 mins to install the slim grips on my 1911.
Advantage 1911!
Oh and did I mention my 1911 weighs 32oz Cocked-and-Locked with 8+1 rounds?
TOP THAT BOAT-ANCHOR!!!! ; ]
I kid because I love!
It's nice that you found that information! And it would be even nicer if SIG posted that on the SIG web-site, somewhere - but they don't even have it the SIG FAQ, or anywhere.
I bet the slim aluminum grips could be notched more safely than the plastic, but I am proceeding with my experiment anyway.
It would be nice for Sig to reply to several emails, but I shouldn't push Teh Authority. When their package comes it's going straight back.
Why would you want a heat-conductive materiel for gun grips?
Aluminum grips are also SERIOUSLY pig-ugly. Never got them, and I don't know why a company as classy as Sig peddles that shit.
Weer'd - That's exactly why I wouldn't buy Sigs aluminum grips.
The G10's are every bit as nice, just as grippy, and they won't change temp. They're also slightly less expensive.
Don't think I'd want to shoot a gun with aluminum grips in the middle of winter.
Good point Weer'd and Mike - besides they cost way too much. Winter? What's that? I'm worried more about heat conduction. :-)
