Stevens to Retire?

Justice Stevens is retiring. Good. He's pretty solidly against us with regards to the 2nd Amendment. His dissent in Heller was an abomination, full of glaring inconsistencies and factual errors.

I hope he enjoys many more years of happy retirement, but I can't say I'll miss having him on the bench.

I don't think it likely that a man who's spent 60 years or so in the Law could really be guilty of "glaring inconsistencies and factual errors."

I don't think.

There. Fixed that for you.

In other news, apparently in addition to being incapable of performing basic mathematical functions, and being incapable of telling fact from fiction, MikeB is also illiterate.

Who knew?

MikeB can think what he wants, but the reality is that Stevens WAS guilty of "glaring inconsistencies and factual errors" in his dissent in Heller

Some of it was extremely basic stuff that made me wonder if he read the cases he was citing. He claimed Miller was supportive of the "collective rights" interpretation. I've shown that to be false right here on this blog. He also stated that Miller was convicted of violating the NFA. This is false. Miller was never convicted.
