It seems as though everyone in the gun blogging world watches Firefly, even Jay I've also had non-gunnie friends tell me how awesome it is. I haven't seen a single episode of the series nor have I seen the movie.
I guess I'll see if there's online episodes somewhere to watch before I plunk down any cash.

Check Hulu... that's where I watched them.
yeah. hulu. free. no cash needed, all episodes there. once you watch them, go rent the movie.
Don't feel like the Lone Ranger. I missed it too. Other than catching odds and ends of it on the Sci-Fi channel that is.
It's on my list of things to watch when I get a copy.
You'll like it!
Haven't seen a single episode. Don't care enough to spend the time.
Take a gander at it on Hulu - something tells me you will appreciate it.
Firefly was one of the better series.
Fun too.
The movie is one of the most beautiful pro-freedom and anti-utopian statements ever on film. It is very well done and very deep.
It's a western in space! That's practically mandatory viewing! C'mon, join the fold and see if you don't become a Browncoat...
"May have been the loosing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one."
Watch Firefly however you can, in the order that it supposed to be air, not the way that Fox did. Then watch the movie. It's almost a sure bet that you'll like it. Most of us projectile addicts do.
Heh - LordJim, now I understand the Browncoat logo Breda has on her sidebar.
If we get snowed in and work is closed tomorrow I'll hook up the laptop and watch some Firefly on the flatscreen.
The series is awesome! Libertarian, pro-gun, pro-freedom, anti-authoritarian -- all the world's goodest things rolled into one.
Buy the whole series on DVD or Blue-Ray. If you regret this purchase, I'll personally refund your purchase price.
Ignore the full-length movie -- it sucked in comparison. IMHO the movie tried to compress 5+ seasons of plot- and character-development into ~90 minutes.
It was canceled before I got to enjoy it but guess what Mike? Another blogger who's seen it.
This show had everything for me. The comments above pretty much say what I want so I'll not add more. I saw it on Netflix and watched the movie in the theatre. Loved the movie.
