Open carry advocates in Michigan won another small battle for the 2nd Amendment. They got the city commission of Royal Oak to remove a ban on firearms at the Labor Day Arts, Beats & Eats festival.
This is how we win at the local level. Is there some risk involved in pressing the issue? Sure there is, there's always a chance of failure, but you have no chance of success if you don't try. If we don't fight to get such restrictions removed then we end up losing our rights through attrition anyway. The civil rights war will be fought one small battle at a time. Kudos to the citizens of Michigan for winning this one.
