SEIU ran this Pro-Obama campaign ad during Obama's run for President in 2008.
That's pretty hilarious, since the average price of a gallon of regular unleaded is now $3.88. It was $1.68 in early January 2009. That's an increase of 231 percent. Obviously it's all Bush/Cheney/Halliburton's fault, right?

...they must have been trolling shoufeasht bawdymore, hon. at least a third of those people sound like they're straight out of Dundalk.
The price of gasoline must be okay, because our Secerterry of the Treasuree said today that the price wouldn't have any serious consequences vis-a-vis The Recovery.
Is he talking about his ailing Mother's recovery? Cuz I don't see any economic recovery out here. Jobs are down, housing is down further, and China's star is rising in the East ... or would that be West?
Yes, gas was $1.68 in January 2009. Of course in the summer of 2008 it was pushing $4.
'Course, it also turned out to be a lie that Barack did not take "their money"...
It never fails to annoy me when people think higher gas prices automatically and always equate to higher profits for the gas/oil companies... *sigh* Would that our schools still taught basic home-ec.
True, that.
"Big Oil" wishes they had a profit margin more like Apple, Starbucks, or other liberal favorites.
Yes, they do make Sagans of money ("billy-yuns and billy-yuns", for those of you who don;t remember Dr. Sagan's voice).
Then again, they do a LOT of volume, too. It's almost like every person in America consumes petroleum products to drive their cars, move the goods they buy and sell, heat their houses, make electricity, produce plastics, refine into fertilizers and other chemicals, etc. {/sarcasm} [grin]
