"A woman who wants a weapon capable of protecting herself and her children is a 'jackass' but a woman who wants other people to pay thousands of dollars for her birth control is treated sympathetically as a victim."

The commenter is absolutely spot on here about how the left thinks. A woman who wants to own a "scary" gun in order to best protect herself, her home and her children is a "jackass" but a woman who wants taxpayers to pay for her to sleep around and have unprotected sex isn't.
I am fully supportive of birth control, a woman's right to choose etc., I just don't think everyone else should be forced to pay for it. If that's the case then where are my federal funds etc. to help me buy a gun?.....
This is exactly how anti-gunners think of us. You're just an average woman with a house and kids who owns a rifle, but to the anti-gunners you're a "jackass" for wanting to keep that rifle and defending your rights.
Here's Scarborough....
"And therein lies the problem --with having to defend assault weapons. Because if you go out and try to defend assault weapons, then you end up looking like a jackass. It's just, just, seriously."
Could you imagine the MSM reaction if Limbaugh or some other talking head came right out and called a family member of one of the kids murdered at Newtown a "Jackass" for supporting gun control?

Child custody laws should be patterned after the 1968 Gun Control Act; anyone who cannot legally own a gun (felons, psychotics, minors, drug addicts) should also be barred from having children. If the gun laws resembled the child custody laws and welfare system in this country, though, it would be the other way around. If you wanted a gun and could not afford one, the limousine liberals would have to pay taxes for a government program to provide one for you.
thanks for share...
I can't for the life of me understand the thinking of these people.
What possible reason would someone want me or anyone to be a victim of a crime with no way to fight back? I understand the people in power wanting it for control, but the average person?????
The focus of the topic is what these people are trying to hide..the real problem is a lack of government responsibility for the problem of crime in the country.from the open border to the fact that poor people have to sell drugs to make a living for there family. To the problem with unity of the family structure thats being negated by economic hard ships forcing our children to be alone with less thought of how parents can raise them the right way when they are not at home but at work. And criminals have more rights than victims do.....I don't think the government needs or deserves any more responsibility they can't even handle what that have already.... that should be the focus.we need to take charge of our own and let them worry about the budget/security/economy/and not social issues that is for each stat to tackle...let's focus!!!!!
