The Mind Eraser. I had several of these on my cruise last year and they certainly live up to their name. Although our bartender royally screwed them up. No highball glass, instead she made the 1st few in a double shot glass filled halfway with vodka, the other half with Kahlua and just a splash of tonic water. Honestly, she may have used something other than tonic water but I don't remember.
Anyway, they were good, and would probably be even better when made properly. I'm usually a straight beer guy, but these, Irish Carbombs, and Whiskey Sours are definitely my drinks of choice. Amaretto sours are good too, but that's a far too girlie drink to order at a bar.

I've recently discovered the Dark n' Stormy - dark rum and ginger-beer with a squeeze of lime - it's sorta a Bahamian Rum and Coke.
Bundaberg (Australia) makes a good ginger-beer that's not all ginger-juicy "eco-friendly" like Reeds or some fruity holistic gingerbeer.
And it's a manly drink.
Not big on mixed drinks myself; if I'm drinking hard stuff I usually prefer straight tequila or vodka with a beer or malt liquor chaser.
hey dirtcrashr - just a little FYI, minus the lime, that's also the original pirate grog. find yourself some good Black Seal or Black Strap rum and you'll be quite happy (assuming you like dark rum on a regular basis). i keep our house well stocked with either of the aforementioned rums.
You know, I've never had a decent rum. I wouldn't even know where to start. My college days were all Captain or Jaquin's(ugh)
It's funny though, every time I go to the liquor store for "something different" a case of Newcastle Brown Ale magically ends up being the only thing I walk out with. Weird huh?
