There's also one of her firing a pump-action shotgun and well, let's just say someone forgot to warn her about recoil and that's just not a very nice thing to do.
And we have pics
An evil bayonet and a smile. And Obama says these belong on foreign battlefields.....

Pump Action Shotgun - Anyone know what it is?

This is funny and yet not. A gun that's actually jumped
out of both hands isn't good.

They were shooting at some huge targets and she shot pretty well. I wish I had access to a true outdoor range like this.

THIS POST IS USELESS WITHOUT PICTURES!
Yup, I found them last night, but they didn't have digital cameras in 1997. (not even sure they had scanners...)
I've also got to blot out faces. There are other folks in some pics (don't know who they are) but they might not want their pictures on my blog.
scanners were most definitely around in '97 - we had one! stop making me feel old! :P
I was 12. If we had one I wouldn't have even noticed.
there you go with the whole "make Laura feel old" thing again. :P i was driving in '97
12? Damn, you're younger than I thought. I graduated from college in 1997. Is that a police range?
Sebastian - Yup it's a police range. How else would you get to shoot a full-auto AK your 1st trip to the range?
I still have no clue where the range is, only that it's "police only"
If you know someone who has one of the few pre-86 full auto AKs :)
I was driving in '75.
We've got an outdoor range down here in the free state of North Carolina. It's a beautiful piece of property.
Come on down where it's free while they still let you leave.
Mike,
Shottie looks like a Remington 870, IMHO.
I had a digital camera in 1997. It cost $134,000, weighed 180 pounds, and saved the pictures to a tape-to-tape reel.
And we LIKED it!
Oh, give me a break; I'm 55 years, seven months and 16 days old, so I have absolutely no sympathy for guys who say that our host makes them feel old!
And if I weren't married, I'd be asking Mike if his mom is single! :)
Hell, my oldest nephew will be 12 this year. That makes ME feel old. It's all relative folks.
I was just looking at some old pictures of me in the hospital post-surgery and I was using an old Apple computer. You know, the ones that only had a floppy drive and the black screen with green graphics.
Shottie looks like a Remington 870, IMHO.
Jay - I can't even recognize an 870. Just shows you I don't know my shotguns. Hell, I've never even fired a shotgun before.
I second Jay's ID of the Remington 870. I have the same rifle sights on my 20" barrel.
