So, More AWB Talk

How much do you think AR prices will jump by tomorrow?

I'm guessing $100 price increase on most AR lowers.

It's not as if we didn't see this coming. Obama's a gun grabber and he always has been. For now I'm more interested in seeing how Congress reacts to new talk of a ban.

Oh yeah, and how often were we all derided as a bunch of paranoid nutjobs for wanting to stock up on arms? Constantly. The media kept telling us bitter clingers to calm the hell down because Obama wasn't coming for our guns.

The liberal media was full of shit, just like Obama.

considering the jump just since October, i'd expect at least a $100 jump on a stripped lower.

still no word from Del-Ton on our uppers, though. :(

I still need another lower but I refuse to pay these ridiculous prices. Hell, you saw the prices at the York show.

What I could really use are some more high (read normal) cap mags for the P228 & P229. Can't do it though. I have something shiny coming in soon :)

What kind of wait time did Del-Ton give you on the uppers? I'm still waiting on a $20 rail attachment piece I bought from them.

they didn't, but the site says 12-16 weeks to ship. can't call them, either, because they're currently moving house.

but you can bet your butt i'm calling them Monday.

Yep. Makes me glad I got my arse to the gun store BEFORE the election. I didn't get an AR, but the gun I did get — the PTR-91, a clone of the HK-91 in .308 Winchester — is one of the guns that will be banned if HR 1022 passes. And I'm betting that's what they'll go for as opposed to just a renewal of the Clinton ban.

I've got what I can get, such as it is... It's the ammo they're after next - can you say "Lead Ban?"

Thankfully, I snagged my two lowers the day our Messiah was elected. Of course, I am on a three-month hold with Del-Ton, and another month hold with my other source, so God alone knows if I will be able to finish even one off before things like threaded barrels and such become illegal. At least I have six mags, and more backordered.

Looks like Barry and Holder got SPANKED on this one. Every donk within two miles has spoken out against this one....and looks like Congress is going up against DC's neglignce of Heller. A good day for our team.

I didn't think we'd have days like this after November!

ya know what makes me the angriest about all of this? Genuine tragedies get twisted into political anecdotes to serve some political agenda that has nothing to do with the original incident.

EX: soon you'll see examples of home invasions where the home owners were shot getting way more news coverage- the illegally obtained guns will be used as justification for a ban that will do nothing to stave off crime.

The Good citizens who were killed by some scum bag become nothing more than a form of punctuation to an agenda.

Good luck finding news stories that go the other way too.

Mike - I couldn't agree more. Remember, Rahm Emmanuel, Obama's Chief of Staff recently said,

"You never want a serious crisis to go to waste. And what I mean by that is an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before."

I have no doubt he means every word of that.

I've been offered three grand for a Wilson Combat Tactical with a PRS stock, a holographic site and some nice Israeli military magazines that are designed to shoot from prone.

No thanks. But if anyone wants that old lawnmower of mine, make me an offer, I have too much land for a push mower now.

Too much land for a push mower. Now that is an excellent problem to have Brigid.
