Quote of the Day - Enemies

“You have enemies? Good. That means you’ve stood up for something, sometime in your life.”

-Winston Churchill

Those who stand up for something as a matter of principle will always have enemies, especially when they're standing up for individual liberties. Liberty has no shortage of enemies.

Unfortunately, there will forever be those kinds of people who simply cannot tolerate other people doing as they please, so long as it does not detrimentally affect anyone else. There will forever be those kinds of folks who want to control other people. And there will always be idiots.

And unfortunately for all those groups, there will be another group, no matter how small, that always just wants to be free. What a strange thought that some people simply cannot grasp the concept.

"It does not take the majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen to set brush fires in people's minds."

Retain always your will to be free and keep setting brush fires my friend. We'll never rid this country of "those kinds of people" but we can do our part to advance liberty through outreach and education (and we are)

As for those of us who just want to be free. That's why they hate us. They hate us because we cannot be easily controlled. Any such man is a threat to the collectivist.

I hate to frame it as an "us vs. them" battle, but let's be honest. That's exactly what it is. At the core that's what it's always been.
