I'm going to go ahead and say that the ammo crisis is over. Ammoman has been overpriced for a while now and even they have .380 available at decent prices. Under $15 / box for .380 is pretty good. Hell, Federal XM193 is back down to $309 and .223 PMC is $299. It's been a while since I've seen good brass cased .223 for under $300.
More importantly ammo in all major calibers seems to be available again.

.380 has been so scarce here since fall 2008 that I have resorted to casting my own bullets and making my own. They work pert good too!
The downside to mass producing your own ammo is that everyone in your family who shoots .380 wants you to make them some, which I do of course. Gladly!
We're still going to get a reloader. Eventually. After other stuff (like the camper) happens.
Think the ammo crisis is over, just wait to see what happens if the Korean thing gets worse.
Out of curiosity I checked the prices at Sportsmansguide.com and they appear to best Ammoman.com but of course SG charges shipping. You may want to check - they are selling some .380 as low as $12.87 a box and if you order a few boxes it may wind up less expensive than Ammomman. Then again, I just ordered some ammo from CheaperThanDirt that was lkess expensive than SportsmansGuide, wound up I got an extra box of ammo at CTD at same price one less would have been at SMG. Let me tell you - that was unusual - SMG usually best CTD by a good amount. Pays to shop around.
All the best,
GB
