Ch-Ch-Changes

It looks like there will be some changes to Utah's CCW, and not the good kind. SB36 would only apply to those states which already have reciprocity agreements with Utah. Residents of those states wishing to apply for a Utah CCW will now be required to have a permit issued by their state of residence.

Laura alerted me to this. It will not apply to her since she's in Maryland, but since I'm in Delaware and currently hold a Utah Non-res permit it'd apply to me come 1-1-2012. My current Utah permit is valid until 2013. I guess I'll have to get a Florida or Virginia non-res now.

The current amended bill is SB36 Substitute

How long is the UT permit good for?

I must say the Florida permit is good for 7 years making the $120 price tag a decent deal.

That being said, a government permission slip to bear arms peacefully is bullshit.

5 years Weer'd. But yes, asking permission and paying a fee to exercise that which has always been my right just pisses me right the fuck off.
