Shipping fail

At this rate my new gun is going to arrive at my FFL's before USPS tracking has updated anything beyond "electronic shipping info received." Gee, and people wonder why the U.S. Postal Service isn't a viable business. Just think, these same incompetent bums could be in charge of your health instead of just your mail.

I'm hoping the 1911 will be in my hands this weekend.

hey, come on now. they have write those notices out on parchment with quill pens and then fax them over on 2,400 baud modems.

They are actually about to upgrade to 56K modems because everyone complains the post office isn't up to date with modern tech.

To be fair, the private companies are screwy too. FedEx keeps delivering us packages for our neighbors (and I don't mean the folks in the other side of the duplex), and my UPS-delivered shipment from Amazon earlier this month showed "delayed due to weather/natural disaster" up to the day it was delivered; it came about a week late but still showed an estimated delivery date of 2 Feb.

I don't know why this is such a difficult thing.

And you reminded me that I have a holster coming from Dennis/Dragon. I look on my Package Buddy because it never showed up today and I see "Forwarded, undeliverable address". Then I realize I gave him my home zip and not my work zip but my work address.

Same town.. We just have 20 zip codes.. typed the wrong thing in a hurry.
