Holsters - no lefty love

While at the NRA Convention in Pittsburgh a month ago I got to check out Breda's snazzy new holster for her Bersa Thunder .380. * I had purchased two JBP holsters on Breda's recommendation some time ago and wasn't very impressed.  The one for my Sig P6 didn't hold up well, felt, floppy & unsecure, and I quickly switched to a Comp-Tac MTAC dedicated to that gun.  After seeing the Galco rig I figured I might want to try that out for my .22.

I was impressed with the MX7 Matrix, especially for the low price, so I decided to buy one for my Firestorm FS22. (you should have a holster for every gun you own, right?)  I checked Galco's website and didn't see any lefthanded M7X Matrix holsters for the Bersa/Firestorm Thunder .380 / .32 / .22 line of pistols.

I contacted Galco and received a very prompt response. Sadly, the response was what I'd thought it'd be.

"Thank you for your email. Unfortunately, the M7X for the Firestorm FS22 and Bersa Thunder .380 is currently offered in a right hand model only. Demand has not been sufficient to date for introduction of a left hand version. "

Sigh.  I guess this is what happens when you're left-handed.  I have to say I'm a little bit surprised they don't offer a lefty model, given the popularity of the Bersa / Firestorm Thunder line of pistols.  They do have a product request form, which is great.  Also hats off to Galco's customer service.  I do wonder though, how the MX7 Matrix might hold up when carrying something big & heavy in it, like my Sig P220ST or DW Heritage?

* Yes folks, I was checking out the holster!

Those damn handists!

Thank goodness for companies like Comp-Tac that actually do make left handed versions of all their holsters.

Somewhere in this picture is a holster. Can you find it?

That reminds me of a story I once heard.
A woman goes into a shoe store and finds the perfect pair of shoes, except she wants the shoes in blue.
"Do you have these in blue?" she asks the salesman.
"You know you're the sixth person this week to ask if we have this model in blue. I am sorry but we don't carry it in blue>
"Why not?" the lady asked.
"Tere is just no demand," the salesman replied.
