Neck Knife Carry

Any readers / fellow bloggers carry a neck knife?  Any of you carry one openly?  I'm going to start doing some cardio training at the State Parks around here since the weather is nice and treadmill running is just pissing me off.    Since I'll be out on the trails by myself I'm thinking a neck knife might be a good idea.*

* No, I can't OC a firearm in State Parks, nor can I conceal a neck knife under my shirt legally.  Also, I still have to double check State Park regs regarding knives, but I don't recall seeing any prohibition of unconcealed knives.

I'd suggest getting a good 3 inch assisted-opener myself. I'm really enjoying my Gerber covert FAST.

I do once in while. Winter months when I wear it above an undershirt. Otherwise it yanks out hair...

Jeff - Thanks for the recommendation! It has dual thumb studs which is a must for me! I'll definitely be buying one.

The lock/unlocking switch is only on one side of the knife, but you shouldn't have a problem using your finger instead of your thumb. The stud on the blade is ambidextrous.

If you have something like a Mora Knife with a bright red handle, it looks like you've just got a pretty little toy knife. Plus, good value (I got a couple for about $10 apiece.

I had a BladeForums post on this a while back...haven't had the funds to purchase it, but they all convinced me to get an Izula.

Two thoughts, really...

1) Can you CPL in State Parks there legally? If so, if you don't insist on being the spandex-clad jogger-hottie whose religion can be told at a hundred paces...is possible!

2) They no want you to conceal a knife? FINE! Carry THIS!
