This is absolutely true. While women shooters and women gun owners are growing in number, women (at least in my experience) tend to be anti-gun moreso than men. This is mostly due to a lack of exposure to guns and the gun culture, specifically because guns are seen as a "guy thing." I can't tell you how many gun owners I know whose wives have no exposure to guns at all. It is imperative that we make the shooting sports more welcoming to women and that companies consider their marketing approach in light of that huge, untapped market.
