Quote of the day - Scapegoats

"Every movement that seeks to enslave a country, every dictatorship or potential dictatorship, needs some minority group as a scapegoat which it can blame for the nation's troubles and use as a justification of its own demands for dictatorial powers. In Soviet Russia, the scapegoat was the bourgeoisie; in Nazi Germany, it was the Jewish people; in America, it is the businessmen."

- Ayn Rand - Capitalism: The Unknown Ideal (1966)

Rand wrote that 45 years ago and look at what we see today, business being attacked consistently by the political elite as means of both gaining more power and of deflecting blame off of themselves.

"The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary."

I did not know that the Republitards had the Power to waste Earth like it was the Planet Krypton, did you?
