Quote of the Day - On Tyrants

"If the colonists had been limited to crossbows that they had registered with the king's government in London, while the British troops used gunpowder when they fought us here, George Washington and Thomas Jefferson would have been captured and hanged."

- Judge Andrew Napolitano

The President of this country is protected by government agents with AR-15's that have 30 round mags and all of the "evil" features he wants banned for us serfs.  His security detail carries the same pistol I often do, a Sig P229 in .357 SIG with 12 round mags, yet I should be forced to use 10 round mags. He and his VP say such guns are "weapons of war" that belong on foreign battlefields and not on our streets, yet the men who protect these arrogant bastards are carrying those "weapons of war" on our streets.

The question I find myself asking is "why are all these politicians dead set on making sure I'm not nearly as well armed as the men employed to protect them?"
Napolitano also brings up registration and it's historical underpinnings, yet bring this up to a leftist and you're branded a crazy conspiracy theorist.  Perhaps this is because they so steadfastly deny the historical actions of their ideological bretheren?

I originally saw this quote on Facebook, but H/T to Old NFO anyway.

The President is no better or worthy of protection than any other US citizen. If he needs pistols, M16s and machine guns for protection then so do I.

If my life isn't worth that level of protection then neither is his.

Maybe, instead of being constantly surrounded by heavily armed Secret Service agents, the President should be surrounded with signs that say, "This is a gun-free zone." If it's good enough for our children, it's good enough for him.
