According to this Delaware Online article, a shooting last night tied a record set in 2006 for annual homicides. It was the 23rd fatal shooting this year, and it's only October.
To put this in perspective, Wilmington has a population of ~73,000. For comparison, Philadelphia has a population of approximately 1.4 million or roughly 19 times the population of Wilmington. Standardizing for population difference that'd put Wilmington at ~437 homicides for a city of Philadelphia's size.
If this keeps up that means that the murder rate here is somewhere between that of Philadelphia and Chicago. What great company to be mentioned with.
I don't have to remind readers that Delaware (and Wilmington) have relatively little gun control compared to Chicago or Philly. It appears people are being murdered at a fairly steady pace in all 3 cities despite the difference in gun laws. Shocking!

Seems to be related to the neighborhood culture(being next door to Philly and New Jersey) of Big City gang bangers, pimps, pushers and blingers.
Yup, it's the people living in those areas that are causing the crime, not the guns.
Too bad there are far too many morons who continue to blame inanimate objects for the crime and who scream racism if you dare point out the facts at hand (that it's basically an epidemic of blacks slaughtering blacks)
