a whole group of people walked into an IHOP in Delaware this morning carrying loaded "weapons of mass destruction" on their hips for everyone to see. It was uneventful and there was no "shootout at the OK Corral," just a group of average citizens displaying their 2nd Amendment rights. I was quite glad to see no one really cared. A few women seemed uncomfortable, but didn't say anything to any of us. IHOP was filled to capacity, and still I noticed nothing more than a few double takes.
My Sigs are still out getting refinished so I didn't actually carry. Besides, I'm a pretty terrible shot. I need more practice before I even consider carrying. It was nice meeting everyone, and sorry I was so quiet.
On an unrelated note, trying to shoot an AR without a rear sight is a waste of ammo. Is this a good rear sight or do I need to buy something better like a GG&G sight?

I don't see anything wrong with that one unless you are going to mount some sort of scope, then it might get in the way. I've been eyeing this folding sight - http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/ARMS-40-p/rear%20sight%20arms%2040.htm - for awhile now, I just have too many harry homemaker things to buy right now. Do you plan on mounting any sort of magnified optic?
No plans right now to buy a scope, but I suppose I may as well buy the flip up to keep my options open.
I want to learn to shoot with iron sights before I start messing around with optics.
