Buy a Gun Day is Fast Approaching

In the above post I discussed the possibility of buying myself a P228. While that thought hasn't yet left me, I don't think it's going to happen. It's just not practical, for the reasons I discussed in the earlier post and because I should put that money to better use.

I could certainly use some more ammo, but I'm not sure whether to buy a case of Wolf for $169 from ammoman, or go with brass Lawman for $119 / 500. How sad is it that those are good ammo prices right now? I need a 2nd mag for the Firestorm (If I can ever find one) and I'd like another for the P6's before they disappear completely.

I've got a feeling I'll want to get the frame & controls refinished on the older P6 once I get the redone slide back from CCR. I also need to find a gunsmith in the area to install my AR rear sight. The older P6 came with blacked out sights. I should probably buy some factory Sig Night Sights for it. In fact there's a good deal over on SigForum for factory night sights right now. I also need to buy two new sets of grip screws.

So yeah, add the cost of all the crap above that I "need" and I think buying a P228 is out of the question right now. I'm also going to try and make more frequent range trips once I get the Sigs back. I will say however, that the thought of picking up a CZ-52 has crossed my mind.
