Can't Find Ammo Anywhere

When is this crap going to go back to normal?  I was able to pickup 500 rds. of Fiocchi 45ACP for a great price a few days ago (cheaper than Wolf .45 from Ammoman) but now that's gone too.

All of my usual sources are out of the ammo I usually buy.  I actually had to search around online just to find some Federal HST in .45ACP.

It's dry you have to hit the stores early to get what stock they have. I'm not shooting right now because of the cost.

Unfortunatly, the best that will show you is that ammo prices are getting universally higher.

Rough times, indeed.

i feel your pain. i got LUCKY the other night and managed to get 2 boxes of Winchester target rounds...had i enough cash on me, i'd have bought the other two boxes they had.

Jesus, I just went to ammo-to-go and found the FMJ section to be Empty, and the JHP to have nothing I'd personally carry!

Yikes. I bought 20,000 Large pistol primers about 2 years ago, and I just grabbed 1000 Plated 230 gr .452" Bullets. I'm glad I did.

Do you roll your own?

Hammer - Mostly buy in bulk online. I find that's cheaper (and more convenient) than going to the store for ammo.

Linoge - I've checked out ammo-engine and don't see anything that jumps out at me. They didn't even have the website of the guy I usually buy from (though it looks like I got the .45 Fiocchi right before he ran out)

Falnfenix - I'm glad I don't have to bother with scouring Wal-Mart and Dick's for the most part. I'm pretty well stocked up on everything but .22 and .40. I don't even shoot the .40, but I've got a few boxes since I do have a
.40 barrel for the P229R.

Of course I'm also a firm believer that you can't really have too much ammo. You'll always shoot it eventually. Either that or sell it for a profit.

Weer'd - Nope, don't roll my own. Ammo to go seems to be wiped out. I usually buy my carry ammo from them since they have such a good selection.

You might want to check out streichers for carry ammo. I've found stuff there that I couldn't find elsewhere. I wanted some .357 SIG Gold Dots, not the standard but the LP's that the Delaware State Police carry. I found them at Streichers, though they were crazy expensive.
