The Great Equalizer

A 69 year old woman shoots a man trying to break into her house at 3 A.M. I bet he'll think twice about committing burglary again.

The gun control crowd would rather she huddle in the bathroom with a cell phone, wait for the cavalry, and pray nothing bad happens in the interim

The elderly deserve the right to defend their homes from younger predators. Good job Ethel Jones! I love the photo. Good trigger discipline and she has that "don't fuck with me" look.

Good thing she didn't live in Washington D.C. prior to Heller -- she would have been breaking the law carrying a firearm around the house.

Think about the absurdity of that -- it was a crime to walk from the bedroom to the kitchen with a functioning handgun.

Got to love the accuracy also. Moving target (and you know he was squirming backwards once he saw the .38), small revolver, small center of mass and still hit 1 out of 3. Better then the cops do on average.
Wonder how often she hits the range or takes a training class, eh.

"Wouldn't there be a middle-ground approach too? How about telling the burglar, "I've got a gun on you, turn around and get out." I know that offends all you letter-of-the-law guys who fantasize about just this kind of opportunity, but putting aside all that macho nonsense for a minute, wouldn't it have been better if granny had scared the kid away instead of shooting three times at center of mass?" -MikeB302000

Yep, You can't shoot an attacker unless they PROVE they're a dangerous threat.

In the Anti-Rights playbook granny would have been justified to shoot only AFTER she had been beaten, raped, stripped of her gun and then shot.

Then the story would be reported as proof that owning a gun is far too dangerous and they all should be banned.
