Carry at home?

A question for my readers / fellow bloggers. Do you carry your gun at home?

I suspect those who ccw daily are more likely to. I don't carry everyday, but 99% of the time if I'm in the apartment & not drinking I'm carrying. Oftentimes that might just mean throwing the 432pd in a pocket. If I've been OCing I'll often just leave the gun on.

Pictured is a Sig P229R DAK in .357 SIG carried in a Blackhawk Serpa holster with a belt from Michael at The Holster Site.

If I'm not carrying, a gun is nearby.

Hard to carry if you're not wearing pants.

:D

I carry from the time I put my pants on in the morning, until I take them off at night. Then it goes into the night stand.

Not carrying is the exception for me, if I'm awake and out of bed, I'm likely carrying. There've been a few times where I didn't, but I was usually pretty sick and wearing sweatpants and curled up on the couch.

No never. It's so Googley-dull and tech-tastically nerd-a-licious and Apple-euphonic, nothing ever happens here. Nada. Zilch. And it's hard to carry if you're only wearing socks.
They might be out relaxing under a lamp if I'm shooting pictures.

I carry at home. Today my wife is also carrying at home.

Only time I don't have a gun on my person is if I'm asleep or on a plane. And I try not to fly.

Not normally, but a firearm is typically within about 20 feet of me wherever I am in the house...

Gun is essentially synonymous with socks with me. Socks go on, gun goes on. When the socks come off, the gun comes off.

The only variation is drinking. If I feel like having an adult beverage at home the gun gets put up.

there's at least one weapon in every room of the house...and someone would have to break a window to get in, which is plenty of warning to get to one of the firearms.

If I'm awake, I have a gun or two on. Also, a flashlight, lighter and knife.

We both carry at home. And Alan, shoulder holsters don't require pants. Michael has been known to put a firearm in the pocket of his bathrobe.

Most of the time, I carry at home. If I do take it off, it goes on the same place, within reach, so I can get to it if needed.

I have a bad habit of taking mine off when I come in the house and putting it where it normally stays. This is because other wise I make take if off and leave it on the table. I really do feel like I should carry in the house, its just not comfortable with my current holster.

I prefer only to say that when someone breaks into my home they will find out. Before then, I'll keep it to myself.

All the best,

Always. Even if you live in a "nice" neighborhood, you never know when sumdood will show up looking for the guy who lived there before you.

Sometimes.... but there are always loaded guns through out my house so I am never too far away from one. I always carry when I leave the front door. When I do carry inside the home its a Kel-Tec P32

I do on many occasions. I'm curious to know what people carry in the home. Lots of respect to the person carrying a serious caliber. Nothing more than .380 for my self.
