Inspiration and competitive drive

Sometimes I read an article and it puts me at a complete loss for words.  This is one of those times.  Go read the inspirational story of Cross Country runner Daniel Reed.  There's also an article on him from his middle school running days.  Read them both, you won't be disappointed.

I used to jokingly tell people who'd ask "how do you do it?" that "I put one foot in front of the other as fast as I can for 3.1 miles."  Daniel's feat gives words like that a whole new meaning.

Speaking of running fast with CP, check out this guy trying to run a sub 6-minute mile mark after having had achilles tendon surgery two years prior.*

*He likely had the same surgery I had on my right achilles.  It's no joke.  I never regained anything near full strength in that foot.
