So I cleaned and lubed up four pistols, loaded mags, gave my sister the safety briefing and headed to the range with her & mom.
We make the long drive only to find the rifle & pistol range closed for the next. 3 weeks for renovations.
Oh well. They were excited too. My baby sis immediately decided the 1911 was the gun she wanted to shoot as well.

Bummer. Never showed up to a range to find it closed down for renovations. But I have driven 45 minutes only to find a line outside the door and an hour + waiting time for a lane.
That's why I like being able to shoot in my back yard now! Couple of pumpkins, a plastic milk jug or two and I'm good to go....

Story of my Life. Our club frequently closes down due to classes and events. Saddly the website for the club sucks so there's no easy way to check if the ranges are booked for the day.
What a great 1911 for her to cut her eye-teeth on too!
