How nice of these Dem. Lawmakers to consistently show the level of contempt and disdain they have for gun owners. If recent events have shown us anything, it's that the core of the Democratic Party has no respect whatsoever for our 2nd Amendment rights.
Remember, she is saying this to a rape victim who HAD a concealed carry permit and carred her handgun outside of campus, but was disarmed by lawmakers like Hudak while on campus (where she was raped) Hudak (D) is telling Ms. Collins that "statistics are not on her side"* and that had she been armed she would have likely been overpowered anyway and had the gun used against her. Interesting that anti gun folks keep making the "your attacker will just take the gun away and kill you with it claim." With the growth of CCW and OC they should be able to point to a mountain of hard data showing this to be the case.......only they can't, because it happens so infrequently as to be statistically insignificant.
She was without a gun, and she WAS overpowered and raped by her attacker. She was within eyesight of the police station, yet no one came to her aid. Of all the solutions these people talk about, not one would have done anything to keep her from being raped. Only in the bizarro world of liberal anti-gunners is the situation Ms. Collins found herself in automatically worse for the her if she's armed. It's as if these assholes want women like Amanda Collins to engage in hand-to-hand combat with a rapist.
*yet she sites no stats because she has none. It's a well known fact that active physical resistance is the best course of action for a woman to take if she's being raped.
I would say that maybe the left knows that rapists are one of their solid voting blocks, and can't vote if they get killed by their potential victims. That's not true though. They can vote anyway. Just look at Chicago.

That the victim might have been overpowered and disarmed by the attacker, even if she had been armed, is an assumption. That the victim was raped while unarmed is a proven fact.
So this is the Second Video in less than a Month where Elected Democratic Politicians have been caught being more Concerned about their Anti-Gun Policies than the Safety of Women.
Which tells me that the Modern Democratic Party is just a Cover Job for those who want the Communist Manifesto to replace the U.S. Constitution.
After all, under THEIR Public Statements, it's MUCH better for a Woman to be Raped than have access to a Firearm for Self-Defense. Or ANYONE who is not "State-Approved" to have a Firearm.
Only Dictators, Fascists, Communists and Criminals WANT People to be Helpless and Defenseless.
