Five men and a woman were involved in a disgusting home invasion where they pistol whipped and choked a blind man and beat and raped his wife, who was 6 months pregnant.
This is the world the anti-gun folks want for us. This is why I will never respect them. They want us to reason with violent criminals?
There's only one way to "reason" with scumbags who will pull a pregnant woman out of bed and then rape and assault her after she tells them they can have whatever they want from the house as long as they don't hurt her. You apply lead, liberally. You don't appeal to their better nature or sense of morality, because there's a good chance they possess neither.

Notice that there were SIX Goblins involved with this crime. But I guess if one lives in a State where "High Capacity Magazines" are outlawed, I'm sure that this Pack would not mind waiting while one took the time to reload,eh?
"Give 'em what they want" might work if all they want is your wallet, but what if it's an HIV-positive rapist? Or a gang of 10-12 thugs playing "the knockout game," who want to beat you to death? Unfortunately, citizens not only need to be armed, they need so-called "high-capacity" weapons.
Thank goodness the pregnant woman was unarmed, just like Catherine Genovese, Fannie Gumbinger, and Delbert Belton. If any of them had had a gun, someone might have gotten hurt.
What is also frustrating is, suppose the victim had been armed, and had shot the intruders? Then msnbc would report that she "took matters into her own trigger-happy hands," and she would have been prosecuted for the shooting, possibly with a "hate crime enhancement." And Obama would fan the flames and exploit the incident, sobbing, "If I had a son, he would look like Michon."
As it is, the case will probably get little publicity, and any media outlet (e.g., Fox News) that does report on it will be accused of racism. Or, alternatively, it could get publicity, as a cause celebre, with every limousine liberal in Hollywood insisting that "the Madison Three" were innocent children who were framed by the racist cops.

I agree with you, and wonder where the left's famous sense of nuance is, in a case like this where the subtle difference between shooting someone in order to prevent them from continuing to beat you is conflated with going across town two nights later to shoot them after you get out of the hospital. That is of course, the difference between self defense and vigilantism. A Key Distinction. (in my best Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark "Top. Men." voice)
Crime rate is increasing rapidly and it is our responsibility to take some important step to protect our family members. We should have gun in the home for our protection and get trained from professional firearm instructor.
