A Message For The TSA

I think a proper post is called for regarding TSA's bullshit. For now though I think this saying from a Cafepress T-shirt will suffice.

"Rosa Parks Wouldn't Stand For Your BS"

The TSA are nothing more than a bunch of thugs. The entire agency should be abolished.

From the TSA's website, a poll saying that most approve of the new body scanners.

In response to that, to the extent that there's any truth to it, I can't say anything better than to offer the words of Samuel Adams,

"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

I stand by what I said on Twitter yesterday. If you're not outraged by TSA bullshit something is very wrong with you.

I highly suggest everyone watch this video and re-read Breda's posts about her humiliating experiences with the incompetent TSA bums. Unfortunately when it comes to the TSA humiliation and intimidation of American citizens is a feature not a bug.

Update - Read Bitter's story too. Like I said, it's all about humiliation and intimidation. I suspect things will get worse as citizens start to push back and the government clamps down on those who won't mindlessly accept their authoritah.

I flew a few months after 9/11 to show that I wasn't afraid and I wasn't going to let scum sucking terrorist change the way I led my life. I stopped flying a couple of years later when I realized they already had. I will not submit to sexual assault in the name of security.

Shocking that TSA's internal poll would show widespread acceptance. The Reuters poll shows the exact opposite. As of this moment, with >67,000 votes cast, the poll is overwhelmingly against the use of the new scanners and pat-down techniques: http://blogs.reuters.com/ask/2010/11/12/are-new-security-screenings-affecting-your-decision-to-fly/

Check out Penn's story - not only does a TSA representative offer to make his future experiences at the chekcpoint "eaiser" simply because he is a popular celebrity with a wide following, but the at-gate TSA agent actually said, "I can do whatever I want."

With those six words, the crotch-goper successfully damned himself and his entire organization...
