Fight For Your Right To Be Taxed!

Fighting for Liberty has the story. Unbelievable.....and yet not.

Apparently Deval Patrick is having a hissy-fit at the thought of doing away with the State's 5.3% sales tax, calling elimination of the tax a "potential disaster." Yeah, it's a potential disaster alright, for the big-government liberals of Massachusettes.

It gets better though,

"Patrick, holding a public meeting of his cabinet at the Bangs Community Center in Amherst, listened as Northampton Mayor Mary Clare Higgins called for the public to rally against a ballot question that would eliminate the state’s 5.3 percent income tax."

The Mayor wants Massachusettes residents to rally against the elimination of a direct tax on them? How dumb do these politicians think their constitutents are? What citizen is going to enthusiastically support taxation that applies to everyone in the state. Even far left folks only support taxes for "the other people" meaning all the "evil rich capitalists."

Jesus, it's like Mass. politicians are running around screaming "the sky is falling, the sky is falling" at the idea of actually lowering taxes. It will "cripple the budget" and there will be "no schools, roads, or public safety." They even put this disaster of insane proportion on the level of Sudan, saying that country has no taxes. Well yeah, Sudan doesn't have much of anything, no government, no taxes, no food, water or security, but lots of starvation, disease, and genocide. I'm sure if they just had taxes everything would be blissfully wonderful for the Sudanese.

Where do they find such imbeciles? And how in the hell do they get elected?

By the way..... DELAWARE has no sales tax! (THE HORROR! I know...) We seem to be doing just fine down here. Someone should let these idiots know about little old Delaware.

It should be noted that self-proclaimed fiscal conservative Mitt Romney actively campaigned against the last ballot initiative to roll back taxes.

Between this and the gun ownership permit fee increase, he's really just copying Mitt who paved the way...

A Conservative in Mass. or CA is a liberal almost anywhere else.

Just wait. Assuming the tax cut passes, you'll swiftly find those same politicians making *punitive* cuts in spending.

They won't touch the latest "greening the nation" initiative or "gun buyback" (aka, "let's promote home burglary) program. Instead, they will "educate" the public about the evils of tax reductions with cuts to parks, police, fire, and emergency medical services.

A pox upon them.
