(If only we could apply the concept espoused by Justice Brennan above to Open Carry.)

And for those ignorant folks I've run across lately who continue to claim that the Constitution "grants" rights.

Great post! I find it repulsive when some people I talk to leave me with the impression that government's role is to tell us what we can do and what we can't do. That is not their role. The government's job is to do what we tell them to do. Of course, when you talk "like that" people want to label you as a trouble-maker. Personally, I prefer the term patriot.
